Exposed Aggregate Concrete Surface Deactivator

CSE® Deactivator is a range of surface deactivators for the controlled production of high quality exposed aggregate concrete finishes. Separate grades are offered for 11 different exposure depths, from micro exposure to coarse aggregate reveal. The principal function of the CSE range is to provide controlled exposure of the aggregate through selfneutralizing de-activation of the setting process at a pre-determined level of reveal. Various grades are available to create, on a consistent basis, exposure depths from 0.5 mm to 7.0 mm. Suitable for all types of moulds, CSE® Deactivator can also be utilized in high temperature conditions and has the flexibility to cope with week-end production.

Fields of Application:
Specific formulations are available for both, face down (negative) and top surface (positive) application, mainly used in precast concrete operations and particular versions are produced for top surface spray-applications, even for external cast-in-place concrete flatwork. Typical applications would be architectural precast cladding panels, landscape furniture, paving elements, prefabricated structures, bridge beams, terrace units, architectural features and cast-in-place pavements, hard standings or roadways

Advantages:
Suitable for negative (face down resp. mould surface) and positive (top surface spray) application. Very cost-efficient, available in 11 different exposure depths, from micro-exposed to coarse aggregate reveal. Covers the surface well and is easy to apply. Applicable even for weekend-productions and during high temperatures. Fast washing out. Quality is clearly superior to conventional exposed aggregates retarders.
For negative application: Abrasion-resistant, fast drying, easily applicable through sprayers and rollers. Suitable for all types of moulds and forms. Simple mould-cleaning (Version „solotop“),
For positive application: Easily sprayable, odourless, with rain-protection-function and incorporated curing membrane until exposure/wash-out (version “multitop“)
